All About Dan
Dan would tell you that he’s from everywhere. A military kid, he went to 14 different schools in 16 years! He loves backpacking, hiking, caving, rock climbing… really anything to do with the outdoors. When he’s not taking photographs, you might find him building something, watching movies (he loves anything from a good western to a corny Si Fi), wrestling with his little boy or hanging out with family and friends.
Dan discovered his passion for photography in high school and opened his photography business in 2004 after finishing college. He loves to capture the beauty of each person surrounded by their environment or things they love. He wants people to look back at their photos and say “I remember that house we lived in…” or “I remember that park….” and the memories to flood back. He feels that much of photography has become completely staged to the point that all context has been lost. Of course, sometimes his goal is to just capture a person’s beauty without their surroundings, but capturing real memories is always at the forefront of his mind.
All About Kristi
Kristi was born on a military base in Germany, but has lived the rest of her life in Texas. Dan introduced her to a love for the outdoors and she enjoys hiking and backpacking. When she’s not helping Dan with the photography business, you might find her knitting, gardening, cuddled up reading a book to her little boy, or spending time with friends and family.
Kristi taught elementary art for 5 years and loved it! Amazing kids, fabulous teachers, and an awesome school all combined to make for an incredible experience. She has always loved helping Dan with his business. After the birth of their son, Eric, she decided to stay home to take care of him and help Dan with his business. She doesn’t regret this decision for one minute! She assists Dan with photo shoots as needed, manages the finances and ordering, and loves any opportunity to meet with clients.
