Frequently Asked Questions

Wedding FAQ:

Why do you offer unlimited coverage with all of your wedding packages?

First of all, we offer unlimited coverage because of our experience feeling rushed and stressed by our photographer on our own wedding day. Secondly, it’s part of our style to get the “actual” moments and not “staged”. We are interested in capturing the entire story of your day as you would like it to happen.

What does the time line look like?

First, give us a phone call at (210) 595-0480 and we will discuss exactly what you are looking for and what we have to offer.

We will then schedule a sit down meeting with you and show you samples of our work and help you choose which package would fit your needs the best.

You can reserve your day with a non-refundable deposit and the entire day will be reserved just for you!

Many couples then choose to have engagement portraits done and send their friends and family a “save the date” postcard which we can design for you.

About a month before the wedding, many brides choose to have a bridal session and have a large portrait printed to display at their reception.

The remaining package fee is due 2 weeks before the wedding date.

The wedding day will arrive and we will be there as many hours as you would like.

One month after the wedding we will have all of your pictures processed and your album designed and schedule a sit down meeting to select pictures and approve the album.

We will then put in your order and deliver your pictures and album as soon as they are ready!

What is your cancellation policy?

If a tragic event happens and we cannot photograph your wedding, we will ask a photographer who we trust to take our place with your approval. We will refund all money you have paid, including your initial deposit.

What are the benefits of having engagement portraits done?

The engagement session is a great time for us to get to know each other early on. It’s a relaxed time to capture sweet, fun, natural moments between the two of you. Plus, we can design a unique “save the date” postcard for you to send your family and friends.

What are the benefits of having bridal portraits done?

Bridal portraits are a fabulous way for you to run through the entire process of getting ready for your big day before the day arrives. We enjoy having time to get to know you better and capture your true beauty in the environment of your choice. These bridal portraits could be taken at the church or reception site, on a farm, in the city, or anywhere you choose.

Do you have clients order pictures online?

For years, we relied exclusively on clients ordering online. The feedback we got from clients was that they loved all the pictures, but felt completely overwhelmed with the choices of pictures, sizes, and products when they are left to wade through everything all alone. Therefore, after your photos are processed, we will set up a personal meeting to help you choose what will fit your needs and budget the best.

Do you offer a CD of our wedding photos with your wedding packages?

We sure do! Every wedding package not only comes with unlimited hours of coverage, but a CD of the best retouched images printable up to a 4 x 6 size.

Portrait FAQ:

What should I (we) wear?

If you are having photographs done with loved ones, we recommend working around one main color plus a neutral color.  Try to stay away from every person wearing identical outfits.  Each family member could be wearing solids, stripes, and plaids with your colors in it.  For example, lets pretend your colors are brown and blue.  Rather than having everyone wearing brown pants and a blue shirt, think about one person wearing a brown plaid shirt with a thin blue stripe, another in a blue dress with brown detailing and cute bow, etc.  Get the idea? Think about fun accessories that draw everything together–ties, jewelry, hair accessories, shoes, etc.  If you need advice on what coordinates, just give us a call!

Wear what feels the most comfortable to you and fits your unique personality. If you love wearing jeans and cowboy boots, then that’s what you should wear! Pick colors that compliments your skin and eyes and that you like to decorate your home with. Bring several outfits to the photo shoot to give you options.  Extra accessories are wonderful because they can be quickly added or taken away during the shoot.

Items to avoid are mini skirts and distracting logos or writing.

Should I have my hair and makeup professional done?

Our opinion is yes! If you’re going to trouble to have professional pictures done, then why not have professionals help you look your very best? But choose a hairstylist and makeup artist you have worked with in the past. We want you to still look like “you”!

What does the time line look like?

First, give us a phone call at (210) 595-0480 and we will discuss exactly what you are looking for and what we have to offer.

If you would like and there is time before the photo shoot, we can schedule a sit down meeting with you and show you samples of our work and get a better idea of what you are wanting. We will photograph your pictures differently if you are wanting jewelry and an album versus a portrait for your wall. We love to answer any questions you have, so you know exactly what to expect the day of the shoot

We will meet at the location of your choice for the photo shoot. Bring as many outfits you’d like. The sitting fee is due at the photo shoot.

Your photographs will be processed within 2 weeks of your photo shoot and we will schedule a sit down meeting with you to show you your pictures and help you choose what fits your needs and budget.

We will then put in your order and deliver your pictures and products as soon as they are ready! Prints have a turn around time of less than 2 weeks. Albums, jewelry, and other items take a little longer, but we will get them to you as quickly as possible!
